What is Airbnb Quality Rank?

The Quality Rank measures the business quality of a company relative to other companies. It is ranked based on the strength of the balance sheet, as well as the profitability and growth of the business. The ranked companies are split in equal numbers and then ranked from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest.

The ranking of Profitability is done by ranking:

Operating margin mean rank (10-year mean average profit margine)

Predictability rank
Revenue growth rank (5 year), when the growth is higher than 25%, set it as 25%
Num of year profit (number of years that is profitable within the last 10 years)
ROIC median (10-year median of ROIC)

Started in 2008, Airbnb is the world's largest online alternative accommodation travel agency, also offering booking services for boutique hotels and experiences. Airbnb's platform offered over 7 million active accommodation listings as of Sept. 30, 2023. Listings from the company's over 4 million hosts are spread over almost every country in the world.
