TUI Travel PLC was incorporated on January 27, 2000 and is domiciled in England and Wales under the Companies Act 1985. It is a leisure travel group operating in approximately 180 countries and comprising over 240 brands. It serves more than 30 million customers across 31 source markets. It has three operating segments: Mainstream, Accommodation & Destinations, and Specialist & Activity. The Mainstream comprises instantly recognizable brands, tour operators, approximately 1800 retail travel shops and a fleet of 138 aircraft. Its key Mainstream source markets are: Northern, Central Europe and Western Europe. It has brands in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK. Its brands are household names including TUI, Thomson, Arke, Jetair and Fritidsresor. It provides holidays to over 20 million customers per year. Its Accommodation & Destinations Sector is a provider of travel services. Its businesses provide hotel accommodation, transfers, excursions and tours, meetings and events and cruise handling services to tour operators, travel agents, corporate clients and customers. Its top selling brands include Hotelbeds, LateRooms, Bedsonline, AsiaRooms and Intercruises. Its Specialist & Activity Sector comprises over 100travel businesses to fulfill the holiday and travel needs of customers with interests and passions. Its top selling brands include Crystal, Hayes & Jarvis, The Moorings, Educational Tours Inc, Brightspark and Le Boat.
