I don't have to say a lot. I think David can do a better job in the first part of this presentation talking about where we are in the industry. You like to think that we're civilized, and we get information, we process it, we act accordingly, but we don't especially when it comes to politicians.
We have an energy crisis. I just came back from London and it's staggering how many families are having to wonder about food versus leaving the heat on. It's mind-boggling, but we have it. Because I think it comes down to, whatever reason, people like being told story -- fairy tales that somehow, we can move to wind and solar overnight and not have to -- and the number I saw was our fossil fuels today are about 81% of all our energy needs. It was 82% about 10 years ago. So despite all the money we spend, we're still -- we are where we are.
So the things that you're seeing on front pages, Japan is turning on nuclear power. That's actually building new reactor versus just putting the ones they have
