Hello, and thank you for calling Costco Wholesale Corporation. I'm David Sherwood, AVP of Finance and Investor Relations, and I will review our sales results for the 5-week retail month of June, which started on Monday, May 30, and ended on Sunday, July 3.
This period is compared to the 5 weeks that began last year on Monday, May 31, and ended on Sunday, July 4. This year in the U.S., we had 34 selling days with closure for Memorial Day versus last year, we had 33 selling days with closures for both Memorial Day and July 4.
