The company invests most heavily in the finance sector, which alone makes up almost a quarter of its total asset allocations, and also invests in the information technology sector, making up another fifth of its allocations, consumer staples, health care, consumer discretionary, industrials, and materials sectors, among other sectors to a lesser degree, in order of decreasing allocation. Marathon Asset Management’s top holdings includes Johnson & Johnson Co., Proctor & Gamble Company, Colgate Palmolive Co., Praxair Inc., and U.S. Bancorp with its top 10 holdings making up approximately a third of its total allocations. The company holds over $15.6 billion in total assets under management spread across 99 accounts, all of which are discretionary except for 2 that make up $408 million of its held assets. Marathon Asset Management’s total number of accounts has grown significantly from 14 back in 2010 to its current amount and its total assets under management, despite some volatility, has also been on a upwards trend, increasing from $9 billion back in 2010 to its current amount today. The firm mainly caters to pooled investment vehicles, which alone makes up over three quarters of its client base, and also caters to pension and profit sharing plans and other client types, in order of decreasing clientele.
