When Jeremy and I first conceptualized the idea of Creatd, the digital landscape was very different. It was a time where people were just beginning to discover ways to create content and share that on the Internet. This was the beginning of the creator era, and we saw an opportunity to build a business model fueled by these creators, one that created a new currency, a creative currency.
We envisioned building a world where creativity could be nurtured in all forms, where the capacity for creativity would not be limited by one's financial, social, or geographical realities. A place that would give creators the practical tools to make a living off of their creations -- to live to create and to create to live. And that was really the birth of Creatd. It was born with the idea of serving creators, brands, and consumers, by creating the conditions for creativity to thrive, and for creators to continue to build more meaningful and lucrative connections.
